Abu Dhabi A new pop-up boutique market at The Collection, St Regis Saadiyat Island, has caught the fancy of fashionistas in Abu Dhabi.

The UpMarket, which appears every Wednesday from 10am to 5pm, showcases a wide selection of offbeat products ranging from handmade jewellery, handbags, artworks and crafts and skincare.

2birds, Pine and Apple Boutique, Mia and Me and Tipsy Gypsy are some of the unique brands featured. The antique jewellery from the Victorian and Edwardian era by Audrey’s Cat line of brand; precious stones, arts and crafts from Kenya; handmade jewellery by Lola; aromatherapy and organic beauty products by Saante are some of the fancy products lined up at the market.

There are also kids wear and products from Pip Squeak Chick and Journey Toys to woo young mothers.

Abu Dhabi resident Angeline Jeffry said she loves shopping at UpMarket because of the unique collection of products.

“You stumble upon some really rare and beautiful stuff here, which is not available anywhere else in Abu Dhabi,” said Jeffry.

Hima Kudros, another resident, said the indoor and air-conditioned ambience is ideal for summer. “If it were outdoors, I would not have been this excited. The venue is fabulous,” said Kudros.

The exhibitors are equally excited. “Business is picking up every week. It is a great venue to attract shoppers who are looking for niche products,” said Natalie maiden of Mia and Me.

The UpMarket is organised by Tiny Bean Events, that is celebrating the third anniversary of its Pop Up concept. Previous successful pop up shopping experiences have included the ‘Shopping Soiree’ at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club and Saturday Market @ Yas Island.
