Singer Nancy Ajram is not engaged

Lebanese star Nancy Ajram, who is back from Kuwait where she performed at the Hala Febrayer festival, refuted rumours that she is having an affair and getting engaged. In an interview for Egyptian TV, Ajram said: "I'm not in love." She also said that her new album, Shakhbat Shakhabit, is a dream come true as she always wanted to sing for children.

Ajram also revealed that she found her calling in acting when she filmed her video Inta Eih. Ajram, who is postponing the project, added: "Making movies needs time, at least four months, and it is impossible for me to give so much time now." Ajram is also planning to record a duet with her younger brother, Nabil Ajram, who is believed to have a lovely voice.

Singer Elissa is a brand that's selling hot

Lebanese singer Elissa has moved to mobile screens after signing an advertising contract with a mobile phone company in Dubai.

The Arab singer with international appeal has proved to be a success and her songs have earned the No 1 spot on many music charts in the Arab world.

Elissa's reputation as a performer adds to her branding value and the singer has already participated in several other advertising campaigns.

Dozens of labels

Elissa flew to Qatar from Dubai for a concert sponsored by a clothing company. She then travelled the next day to Kuwait to participate in the Hala Febrayer festival.

Recently, Elissa also held a concert in Lebanon for an airline promotion and another one in Cairo for an Egyptian phone company. Elissa endorses for dozens of labels, sunglasses, jewellery, soaps etc. She is also on billboards, TV and attends important social events.

Elissa is also the first Arab artist to have her own perfume. It is named Elissa. But do you know who designed the perfume's bottle? It's none other than Lebanese singer

Lebanese singer Najwa Karam hosted Mahatat, a programme where Arab stars talk about their personal lives and give opinions on social and political issues. The programme is produced by Al Arabiya channel. The episode will be broadcast soon.

Meanwhile, Najwa is busy preparing her new album which features eight songs to be released next May.

Darine on air

Lebanese singer Darine Hadchiti has several projects on the go. She will sing for the first time in the Gulf dialect in a song written by Shaikh Nasser Sabah Nasser and composed by Abdullah Akkoud. Hadchiti is now in Cairo now to launch her new song Hobbak Ghali Alaye.

Meanwhile, Hadchiti, who was the guest of Kuwait's Ministry of Information, gave several interviews to Kuwaiti radio and television. During the more than three-hours show, she answered the querie from her fans who called the TV and radio stations.
