Shireen Abdul Wahab's interview was completely fabricated.

Egyptian artist Shireen Abdul Wahab has decided to sue Rotana Magazine for publishing statements that are allegedly baseless. Rotana's talent executive in Cairo admitted that the statements in the latest issue of the magazine were fabricated and that they were taken from someone who spoke on the singer's behalf.

The article which appeared on December 23 was titled Shireen: A Big Scandal Awaits Tamer. The story was so scandalous that when it reached Saudi Arabia, the censorship board tore out the pages before the magazine was approved for sale. We can't help but wonder who's coming up with this news!

Rumours dog Asala

Syrian singer Asala Nasri is being bombarded by rumours. First it was alleged that her relationship with her husband, director Tarek Al Eryan, is falling apart and that she's apprehensive about getting a divorce. Another rumour circulating is that Asala has been diagnosed with some form of cancer and that she travelled to the United States for treatment. Asala has denied both those reports. She has also dismissed news that she is currently working on her biography for a film that will be produced by her husband. Asala believes that someone who wants to ruin her career is responsible for those rumours.

Nancy postpones video clip

Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram had to postpone the filming of her new video clip for the song Meen Ghairi Ana (Who Other Than Me).The filming was scheduled to take place in December, but was postponed due to bad weather. The new date is yet to be determined. Meanwhile, Nancy is preparing for her new album which will feature songs in different regional dialects.
