'Twas my cat: I was looking for her in the garden. Last night she was spitting fur balls and I couldn't do anything else without making sure she was OK.
Teaching my feline friend home etiquette: I hadn't seen her for a couple of hours and after a frantic search I found her on the lawn feasting on a fish. Turns out she toppled the fish bowl in our house and ... I spent an hour teaching her basic etiquette - never have your housemate for breakfast.
Missing sock: I couldn't find my fav pair of socks. I remember hanging one sock outside for Santa to fill it with goodies ... and I hate to wear shoes without socks.
My uniform shrank: We have a new washing machine at home. When my mum fished out my uniform from the washing machine I found it was too small. She had to buy me a new one and so we waited till the shops opened at 8.30 am.
Entertaining visitors from outer space: I had injured my knee and aliens came to see if I was OK. I prepared breakfast for them. You can imagine how much time it took to prepare their favourite food. Umm, I can't tell you what they ate. They swore me to secrecy.
My room was a mess: My room was a big mess and mom told me to clean it before I left. I'm sure my unborn baby brother did it. I think he sneaks out of mama's tummy every night to play with my toys!
Power problem: I couldn't do my homework last night because the power went out when a UFO landed near our house! I spent the morning doing my homework.
It's dad's fault: My mum couldn't drop me at school today due to some commitments. She asked dad to drop me. Unfortunately he did not know the way (to school), so we drove around for 30 minutes until he stopped at the petrol station and asked for directions.
I was watching a rerun of my favourite cartoon: I missed my favourite TV programme The Simpsons, yesterday evening and decided to watch a rerun in the morning.
I am not late, everyone seems to be early today.
