Jamaican-American performer OMI is ready to get into the spirit of Dubai Shopping Festival.
Speaking to tabloid! ahead of his performance at Mall of the Emirates on January 15, he said: “I’m really a footwear guy, so any interesting sneakers or shoes or boots, you know, I’ll be definitely buying in Dubai.”
Known for 2015’s smash hits Cheerleader and Hula Hoop, OMI will perform as models showcase the latest trends from Etoile La Boutique on a catwalk at the mall, at 6.30pm. It will be OMI’s first appearance in Dubai.
The event is part of “Fashiontainment”, a celebration of style at the mall for the shopping festival. The following day, January 16, there will be more catwalk shows.
OMI also teased the video for the recently-announced third single off his debut album Me 4 U, Drop in the Ocean: “There’s gonna be a lot of colour,” he said, “very summery — beachy without the beach.”
