The four members of UK indie band Viola Beach and their manager are understood to have died in a car accident in Sweden, which occurred on Saturday night.

Police say the car drove off of a highway bridge and fell more than 80ft into a canal in the capital city of Stockholm. The names of the victims have not yet been announced at time of press, but four of them are believed to be band members Kris Leonard, River Reeves, Tomas Lowe and Jack Dakin, according to the BBC. They had played Where’s The Music? Festival in Sweden on Friday, and were set to return for a string of shows in the UK.

Tributes from fellow bands and fans quickly poured in on various social media accounts.

“Just heard horrendous news about @Viola_Beach. Fellow Warrington lads, they rehearsed next door to us. Our thoughts are with their families,” wrote indie musicians, Man & the Echo.

Spandau Ballet bassist Martin Kemp wrote: “Thoughts and love going out to ‘Viola Beach’. No words!”
