Members of Irish rock band U2, who were forced to postpone their residency on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon after frontman Bono had a cycling accident in New York, are going to visit host Jimmy Fallon and perform on Friday.
U2 was supposed to have a weeklong residency on the late-night programme back in November in support of their surprise album Songs of Innocence. They, however, decided to delay it as Bono needed to undergo a surgery to repair the arm he injured in the accident, reports aceshowbiz.com.
More than five months following the incident, his injured arm hasn’t fully healed. Earlier, the 54-year-old musician revealed that he still couldn’t bend two of his fingers and subsequently couldn’t play the guitar.
“It feels like I have somebody else’s hand. I can’t bend these [fingers], and this is like rigor mortis,” he said.
Until now, U2 is the only Tonight Show guest that have been announced for May 8.
