Rapper Snoop Dogg has debuted his autobiographical film COOLAID: The Movie, which chronicles his life and the pivotal moments that led to the rise of his music empire.
The movie, released on Friday, is a reflection of Snoop’s latest record, also called COOLAID, and serves as the visual companion to his new music, reports Hollywood Reporter.
Starting from his childhood, the film chronicles Snoop’s early dreams of becoming a football player and later the downfall due to his involvement with drugs and gang life.
Highlighting the start of his music career along with his infamous murder trial, the film sheds light on the highs and lows that come with stardom and how the artist became a musical force in pop culture today.
“This is a piece that is near and dear to me — it’s a personal journey of my life,” Snoop said.
