Edmonton: Singer Meat Loaf collapsed on stage during show in Edmonton, Canada, witnesses say. There was no immediate word on his condition.

The Paradise by the Dashboard Light singer was performing at the Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium when he collapsed, according to reporters from the Edmonton Sun.

Canadian broadcaster CBC News said via Twitter the 68-year-old artist's condition is unknown.

Meat Loaf, who is best known for his Bat of Hell trilogy of albums, is touring in Canada.

He was scheduled to perform at the Jubilee Monday, but the show was postponed "due to illness," according to the singer's Facebook page.

In 2003, Meat Loaf collapsed during a performance in London. He was treated for exhaustion stemming from a virus, hospital officials later said.

He won a Grammy Award in 1994 for I'd Do Anything for Love (But I Won't Do That)

Reports of Meat Loaf's collapse in Edmonton comes just days after singer cancelled Calgary show due to illness, according to the Edmonton Journal.
