Nicki Minaj will perform in Dubai on March 25, organisers 117Live announced on Wednesday.

The ‘Anaconda’ rapper will perform at a temporary spot dubbed ‘The Venue’, located at the Dubai Outlet Mall.

“Kicking off the new concert season, we want to throw a proper party with the queen of rap giving us a bit of fast-flowing rhymes, cockney English rap, alter ego personalities and no doubt displays of some daring costumes,” said Thomas Ovesen, CEO of 117Live.

He added that the Dubai date will be Minaj’s only Middle East show on the Pinkprint Tour.

As a special offer, fans will be able to buy general admission tickets for Dh117 up until Sunday. They can do so by pre-registering on 117live.com. A general sale will open on Monday at 10am.

In December, Ovesen told tabloid! that the temporary venue, where Minaj will perform, will be built on a grassy field that accommodates up to 20,000 people. A permanent amphitheatre, with a capacity of 25,000, will be completed in 2017.

Minaj last performed in the UAE four years ago, at the Meydan Racecourse. She teased fans on Twitter last year by posting, “Yes. I’m coming back to Dubai,” and made a stop in the city in September to support her rapper boyfriend Meek Mill during his performance at a nightclub.
