Dubai: Last week they were just rumours. Now, fact.
LMFAO and Pete Wentz are confirmed to be heading to Dubai for a giant beach-front music festival, which we can also reveal will take place on September 30.
Currently occupying the top spot of Billboard's international chart list, LMFAO will headline the electronic music extravaganza.
The event, the first of its kind, which could host up to 12,000 people, will feature more than 25 acts, including the American electro hop duo most famous for this summer's anthem, Party Rock.
Pete Wentz confirmed his own Dubai debut after he tweeted he is "stoked" to be coming to the UAE to play his debut show. "Off to the Middle East to play a show for the first time in September. Stoked," he tweeted.
The American singer of Fall Out Boy fame formed the experimental electropop group Black Cards since the announcement of Fall Out Boy's indefinite hiatus.
DJs Redfoo and SkyBlu, better known as LMFAO, will hit Dubai along with their Californian crew of rappers, dancers and producers. The pair have been around since 2006, but it was only last year when they were featured in David Guetta's Gettin' Over You that things really took off.
The LMFAO boys will first open shows as one of the acts for American singer Ke$ha's Get Sleazy Tour before heading to Dubai next month.
More details will be released in the coming weeks, so watch this space.
