The last day of a music festival with Kanye West and Death Cab for Cutie among the performers is cancelled due to weather.

Governors Ball organisers said Sunday events weren’t going to be held because of severe weather. Strong winds and thunderstorms were predicted through Sunday night.

The annual event is held on Randall’s Island in New York City and goes for three days. Among those who performed on Friday and Saturday were Elle King, the Strokes, Beck, Miguel and De La Soul.

Organisers said ticket holders would be refunded.

The outdoor pre-show for the Hot 97 Summer Jam featuring Chance the Rapper and others has also been cancelled. The main show at Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey is still on. Future, Big Sean and others will still perform.
