Missy Elliot and former Spice Girl Mel C will perform at Skybar, the intimate club night concert that take place during this year’s Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, it was announced on Monday.
Elliot and the former Spice Girl will open proceedings at the Yas Island venue on Thursday November 1, followed by Cee Lo Green and Eve on Friday, Travie McCoy and Outasight on Saturday, and Lupe Fiasco and Eva Simons wrap up Sunday night.
The events at Skybar, as well as the free concerts on the Abu Dhabi corniche, Beats on the Beach, are the official after parties for the Yasalam after-race concerts.
The venue with its amphitheatre design has hosted international artists including Basement Jaxx, Fatboy Slim, Shaggy, Jason Derulo, Skylar Grey, Yasmin, Alexander Stan, Sean Paul, Tinie Tempah, Pitbull, Flo Rida, Wyclef Jean, J Cole, and is also renowned for surprise performances. In 2010 music icon Prince shocked fans by giving an impromtu show.
