The Emerging Talent Competition (ETC), an annual contest of musical acts in the UAE, will open registration for its third edition on July 26.
Members of the public will be able to vote for their favourite artist in the final stages of the competition, unlike previous years.
Artists and bands from across the GCC will compete for the chance to perform on The Village stage in du Arena in November, ahead of one of the Yasalam 2017 After-Race Concerts.
Calvin Harris and Pink are two of three main headliners announced so far.
Ten ETC entrants will be shortlisted to undertake an intensive mentoring programme. An online voting system will be launched, wherein community members will be able to vote for a fourth ‘wild card’ finalist to be included with the judges’ top three. Only one winner will be chosen.
Previous winners of ETC are S.O.S. and Hasan Malik.
