Blackpink in your area! After a year-long hiatus, Blackpink are back more powerful than ever, with their highly anticipated first mini-album Square Up on Friday and, as predicted, a big hit in South Korea and the international iTunes Top Albums charts.

The K-pop girl group shot to the top of the iTunes Albums charts in 38 countries, which includes Saudi Arabia and the UAE, and also ranked no.1 on the UAE iTunes Top Songs chart with lead track DDU-DU DDU-DU, just merely hours following its release.

Additionally, the track reached no. 1 on Korea’s daily and real-time music charts.

Unlike their girlish concept in previous singles, Jisoo, Rosé, Jennie and Lisa explored a stronger and more mature side with the new mini-album.

Along with the addictive hip-hop lead single, Square Up includes three songs written and composed by YG’s producer Teddy and other artists.

Square Up is the popular quartet’s first mini-album since their show-stopping debut back in 2016.

With their domestic and international success, Black Pink are definitely on the forefront of pop domination and there’s no stopping them.
