Dutch trance DJ Armin van Buuren is giving Dubai his Embrace. The hitmaking producer has added the city to his world tour, called Armin Only Embrace, on May 20 at Meydan.

The tour is named after van Buuren’s sixth album, Embrace, which sees him work with different styles, genres, and sounds through collaborations with a number of international artists.

The tour kicks of on May 6 in Amsterdam where he performs for two nights, before he heads to Poland and then Dubai.

Van Buuren last performed in the UAE in 2014 at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after-race concert. His last world tour, Armin only Intense, saw him travel five continents across 35 shows.

Born in Netherlands, the 39-year-old started off as a radio personality, and still hosts a weekly radio show called A State of Trance, which currently has more than 20 million weekly listeners in 74 countries. He’s also won a number of accolades, ranked World No. 1 DJ by DJ Magazine in its annual Top 100 DJs fan poll a record of five times. In 2014, he was nominated for a Grammy Award for best dance recording for his single This Is What It feels Like.

Armin Only Embrace is set to his biggest and most extensive tour yet, say organisers.
