Jaguar had the motoring world dumbfounded and later drooling when it revealed its show-stopper at last year's Paris show, the C-X75 concept powered by two mid-mounted turbines. Now the British marque has dropped another bombshell by announcing it's actually going to build this stunner of a supercar.

Thankfully, Jaguar design head Ian Callum assures us the supercar will look “as striking on the road as it was in concept form." However, the four-wheel drive production model will have the turbines replaced by a small but highly boosted engine along with two electric motors, making it one of the most exclusive hybrid supercars in the world.

Although power stats haven't been revealed yet, the C-X75's performance figures are truly supercar worthy. Jaguar promises a 0-100kph dash in less than three seconds and a top speed of more than 320kph. Equally incredible are the efficiency and emission figures, with its all-electric range of more than 50km, and less than 99g/km  of CO2 emissions.

The British marque is collaborating with Williams F1 in developing the car's carbon fibre chassis, aerodynamics and hybrid technologies.
