The Golf GTI is obviously very good, but perhaps it’s the Spaniards that build the best GTI available — Seat’s 280bhp Leon Cupra lapped the Nürburgring in less than eight minutes, setting a record for a front-wheel-drive car.

German VW Group tuner JE Design reckons its take on the Cupra now has the show to match its potent go. Inspiration clearly comes from the mad Leon Cup Racer, which means JE Design added a three-piece front bumper, wider arches, faux carbon fibre side skirts and a rear diffuser.

The whole thing costs Dh30K, but if you keep paying you can get the entire body wrapped, big pipes, 45mm drop, and wild 19in wheels with Dunlop rubber. You could even ask for an ECU remap that hikes power to 350bhp.
