Despite the bleak sales record of its 5 Series GT, BMW is going ahead with its plans for a Gran Turismo version of its smaller 3 Series.
Our trusted snapper has sent us the latest pics of the 3 Series GT prototype testing in Europe, with much less camo than before. From the front it looks much the same as a 3 Series saloon, while the rump looks like it’s a two-piece tailgate like the one in the 5 GT.

- BMW 3 Series GT's details are expected to be released ahead of the Paris motor show.
Powertrain details are still not officially confirmed, but we don’t expect engine choices to be too different from those offered in the saloon, which means it should include the delightful 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four as well as the 3.0-litre turbo six.
We’ll get to know for sure sometime soon as full details are expected to be released ahead of the Paris motor show.
