- These shots hint at a much more aggressive design than that of the 2013 Range Rover, with which it will share the lightweight, rivet-bonded aluminium platform.
Unlike the previous generation, the Sport seems to bear closer resemblance to the sharp lines of the smaller Range Rover Evoque than to its big brother.
Although most of the body is hidden under heavy camouflage, these shots hint at a much more aggressive design than that of the 2013 Range Rover, with which it will share the lightweight, rivet-bonded aluminium platform.
This, combined with use of other lightweight composites in construction, is likely to have helped engineers shave a considerable amount of weight off the Sport’s bulk.
However, the engine line-up is expected to be carried over, albeit with some revisions, and mated to an eight-speed automatic.
The 5.0-litre V8 is expected to churn out 375bhp in the HSE, while in the top-banana supercharged variant, the same engine is likely to produce 510 horses.
We’ll keep you updated as more info and images come in before the 2014 Range Rover Sport is launched.
