- HaHaHabibi Theatre Workshops are for beginners and experts alike, and are run by keen thespians in the community.
1 These weekly and free improv workshops will have your on-stage skills polished to perfection in no time. The interactive group sessions are for beginners and experts alike, and are run by keen thespians in the community.
2 The ultimate aim of the group sessions is to form an improv troupe, so if you love
the workshop, it might turn into something more.
3 You never know what you’re going to end up discussing, acting out or laughing about – as is keeping with the nature of improv! – and a recent HaHaHabibi Workshop featured sketches about ants, bedbugs and Baywatch.

Dubai Flea Market
If you’re anything like us, you’ll have a wardrobe full of clothes you don’t wear, shelves packed with books you’ve read and cabinets full of trinkets that are collecting dust. Well we have the solution! You know what they say, ‘One man’s trash is another man’s treasure,’ so head along to the Dubai Flea Market next weekend and sell it all, make a tidy little profit and then have a good browse of the other stalls and make a few purchases. The market, which has moved to the much cooler (indoor) Al Safa Hall for the summer will be home to everything from furniture to clothes. Be prepared to get your elbows out (as it gets pushy) and you might leave with some good finds. Our advice to get the best stuff is to be first in the queue – and people queue early.
Cost Dh5
Al Safa Hall, adjacent to Al Safa Park Gate 4 | 3pm-8pm, Friday July 5 | dubai-fleamarket.com
Rixos Pool Party
Pool parties are one of the best things about a Dubai summer, so party by (or in!) Rixos’ huge pool on the Palm this weekend. The XOXO Friday H2O Pool Party will have local DJs playing chilled tunes into the evening and drinks flowing all day. Book yourself a personal hot tub for between four and 12 people, if you’re willing to match the Dh4,000 minimum spend, and party in private for the afternoon.

Wimbledon Special At The Rivington Grill
Whether you’re backing Murray, Nadal or a Williams sister, London’s Wimbledon is one of the highlights of the year’s sporting calendar, and with its strawberries, cream and champers tradition, the tennis tournament is our favourite to celebrate. Pop to The Rivington Grill at the Madinat Jumeirah to enjoy the games in the cute bar (which has plenty of screens) and for Dh35 you can have strawberries with cream and Pimms-flavoured jelly.
The Rivington Grill, Madinat Jumeirah | 12pm-11pm, daily until July 8 | 04 366 6464
