Actor Zac Efron has sold his industrial-vibe home in Hollywood Hills West for $2.775 million (Dh10.18 million).

Although designed for the Case Study Program by Rodney Walker, the house was built in 1947 outside the program.

Features include walls of glass, two bedrooms, 3 bathrooms and 2,424 square feet of living space. Corrugated metal surfaces and a three-sided fireplace add to the hip ambience.

The concrete floors in the open-concept house are heated. An infinity-edge swimming pool also sits on the nearly third of an acre lot.

Efron, 26, rose to teen stardom in the films High School Musical and Hairspray, as well as the TV series Summerland.

He starred this year in That Awkward Moment and is in the new film Neighbors.

He was a presenter this year at the 86th Academy Awards. The property was purchased in 2008 for $2.35 million (Dh8.6 million), public records show.
