Make your workout fun and colourful with the Color Run at the Yas Marina Circuit, Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, on Saturday, March 29.
The event presented by Activelife, with Mini, Yas Viceroy Abu Dhabi and Yas Waterworld, entails a fun 5k run with coloured powder showered on the runners and a colour throw session at the Finish Festival.
Last December the event was held in Dubai which saw 9,000 runners dance, walk and run their way around the course.
Olympic gold medallist, British athlete Dame Kelly Holmes, will be present again at the Color Run to inspire and encourage UAE residents to a healthier lifestyle.
“The focus is on trying to get people active in the UAE,” Holmes, who won two gold medals at the 2004 Summer Olympics at Athens, told tabloid! earlier this week. “My intervention [at the event] is to emphasis the importance of a healthier lifestyle and activity in the UAE.”
Holmes, feels the aim of this ‘happy run’ is to give the participants a goal which they can achieve any way they like.
“But have fun with it even if you are putting in an effort and have an experience you won’t forget,” she said.
