Shoe Gallery at Yas Mall
The capital’s newest shoe store brings together shoe fashion, wellness and leisure under one roof, and over two storeys. Opened on Wednesday at Yas Mall, it carries over 100 brands: Think high-street favourites Dune, Pedro, Aldo, Nine West, Anne Klein, Charles & Keith and Call it Spring. There are also sporty brands such as TOMS, Athlete’s Co., Skechers, Birkenstock, Nike, Adidas, VANS and Timberland. There are also personal stylists, a grooming booth, foot care, beauty and makeup, a play area for kids, a juice bar and a Tim Horton coffee shop.

DAS shoes
Not content with making some of the UAE’s sharpest abayas, DAS Collections designer Reem Beljafla has now launched her first footwear collection. The collection, inspired by Beljafla’s own needs, landed at Level Shoe District in The Dubai Mall last week. The range is designed around a “season-less” wedge that’s practical and stylish, which of women were looking for. While pregnant, the designer was inspired to work on a wedge that would be comfortable but also give the height that’s needed when wearing an abaya. “Being a businesswoman and mother, I’m constantly on the go so it was important for me to design a shoe that was equal parts chic and comfortable,” she says. It comes in 12 colours (and will soon be available in exotic leathers).

We’ve got two ideas for your nails this weekend. First up is innovation from House Of Allure, a nail salon and spa in Abu Dhabi that has a “photo painting” nail art machine.
