Velorum’s retro vibe

Emirati designer Suhail Al Shukaili and his label Velorum has collaborated with Ukranian illustrator and pattern designer Ira Khroniuk for a swimwear collection for spring-summer. And the results are very interesting. Inspired by retro travel, the fun and playful collection is full of wild prints and colours. “Ira’s style has a dream-like feel to it. With soft colors and brush stroke techniques, she manages to capture the essence of retro travel,” Al Shukaili tells Gulf News tabloid!. Sutor Mantellassi, the Italian heritage brand with more than 100 years in luxury shoemaking, has launched a pop-up at Level Shoes in The Dubai Mall and will run until May 14. The brand’s made-to-measure specialist is also coming in for appointments from May 10 to 13. Bait Al Kandora, the high-end khaleeji menswear brand selling traditional wear with a 21st century twist, has opened its third store, in Fujairah. The brand opened its first store in Dubai’s Souk Al Bahar last year, followed by a Sharjah branch. “The new outlet and other expansions come at an important time.
