Mumbai: Actor Ranbir Kapoor says his grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor is the most stylish woman he knows.
The 33-year-old Tamasha star, who walked for designer Kunal Rawal at Lakme Fashion Week on Sunday, is very close to his family, especially his grandmother.
“For me, my grandmother Krishna Raj Kapoor is the most stylish woman around,” Kapoor told PTI.
While the Kapoor clan may be one of the most stylish families of Bollywood, Kapoor’s style icon is actor Amitabh Bachchan.
“During my growing up years Amitabh Bachchan has been my style icon. Even now he is the best and you can’t steal away the limelight from him.”
The actor says he is very simple when it comes to dressing and doesn’t consider himself a fashion icon.
“I am someone who is always seen in a pair of jeans, t-shirt, cap and sneakers, I don’t understand why someone will follow my style.”
“I don’t read fashion blogs and all this is not important for me,” he said.
Celebrity favourite menswear designer Rawal presented his “Role Play” collection at the fashion week.
The colour palette was a mix of bold and neutral colours, which add to the festive tonality of the garments. Shades of wine, champagne, ivory and blue dressed the ramp along with charcoals and olives are combined together.
Silhouettes like bandi, jackets, modern versions of sherwanis, and a new version of short pathani kurtas were showcased. Quilting, rich knots, thread work and French knots brought the designer’s signature touch to the collection.
