Actress Leslie Jones, who plays Patty Tolan in the all-female reboot of the 1984 classic Ghostbusters, plans to use the dress she wore to the film’s premiere to do some good.
The 48-year-old wore a red off-shoulder gown by designer Christian Siriano.
“She’s going to auction the dress off... or donate it. She works with a bunch of young theatre kids. So hopefully we do something with it for the younger generation so they feel good,” Siriano said.
Siriano also said that the dress was inspired by actress Julia Roberts’s dress in the 1990 romantic comedy Pretty Woman.
“It wasn’t really at first and then we were like, ‘Oh well, maybe we can make it red and we’ll have our Pretty Woman moment,’ and it kind of just turned into that,” the designer said.
