The Dubai Shopping Festival is usually the best time to refresh your wardrobe, with plenty of big discounts on fashion. So, I headed to the malls to sift through the sale racks for these celebrity-inspired fashion for cheap!
Kanye West
When it comes to street style, the rapper husband of reality star Kim Kardashian really gets it together. "It's not about having a lot of clothes," West once told media in an interview. "It's about a few favourites."
For this Kanye look, I found these classic, water-resistant shoes from Timberland (Mall of Emirates) for Dh445 (was Dh575), ultra-cheap jeans from Tati (Mirdif City Centre) for Dh28, and a very nice dual-purpose blazer from Pull&Bear for Dh325 (was Dh485).
Beyonce
Whenever she’s out in the neighbourhood or on the red carpet, the former Destiny’s Child is always dressed to impress.
To mimic this Beyonce fashion evolution (every stiletto-clad step of the way), I found a blazer from Cotton On for Dh99, high-heeled shoes from Steve Madden for Dh245 (was Dh329) in the closest colour I could find, black shorts from Tati for Dh20 (was Dh66), white top from Berskha for Dh30 and Just Cavali sunglasses from Polaris (Mercato) at 50 per cent off the price for Dh650.
Holly Willoughby
TV celeb and model Holly Willoughby knows how to rock her winter look with this simple but warm ensemble, those buckle-on boots giving the entire look a definite chic kick.
For Holly’s look, I found an elegant cream-coloured trench coat on sale at Massimo Dutti for Dh950 (was Dh1,300), a pair of jeans from Levis for Dh169 (was Dh459), boots from Steve Madden for Dh395 (was Dh599), and a large leather bag from Berskha (last piece at their Mercato branch) for Dh139.
Cameron Diaz
You have to give it to the effortlessly beautiful Cameron Diaz when it comes to making winter wear look hot. The Californian girl usually goes for the chic look in a low-key way and keeps everything to a minimum, rather than over-accessorising.
For anyone interested in this look, I found long-sleeved plaid shirts at Mango for Dh99 (was Dh199), a cream coloured blazer at Cotton On for Dh99, a pair of skinny, dark jeans for Dh49 from Pink Woman (Dubai Mall), and boots from Women Only for Dh107.
George and Amal Clooney
God knows how many wardrobe changes it took for the power couple to complete their extravagant wedding in Venice (I lost count), but here, George and Amal have been snapped still looking fabulous even when dressed down.
For their inspired look, I found the closest to gorgeous George’s jacket from Gaudi for Dh695 (was Dh950), a pair of black pants from Pink Woman for Dh69 (was Dh219), scarf for Dh46 (was Dh80) and sneaker boots for Dh325 (was Dh485) from Aldo and a blazer from Cotton On for Dh99.
