Farmhousefresh Citrus Grass Fine Grain Salt Scrub
The first thing to catch your eye about this product is the label that says ‘smooth as a duck’s butt’. I’ve never touched a duck’s butt, but I’m assuming it’s smooth and silky — which is just what you want a body to feel like after scrubbing away at it. This scrub uses a fine sea salt instead of the usual gritty sugar, which does mean that the oil — a silky rice bran oil — and the solid portion will separate in the tub. A small wooden spoon is provided to mix it up before using, and to scoop out the scrub without having to dip your fingers into it. The scrubs has a sweet lemony scent mixed with a bit of earthiness. It’s definitely not a synthetic smell and I like that it’s not a typical fragrance. After washing off, there is very little residue or scent, and skin is left feeling buttery smooth. This scrub is a luxurious treat for when you decide to go all out at bath time. (Dh122.50)

Lush Rub Rub Rub
If you’ve ever lived in India, you might know the strong floral scent and bright blue of your home’s laundry soap bar. That is exactly the scent and colour of Rub Rub Rub. Like the soap bar, this scrub will get you squeaky clean. Unlike the first scrub, the salt in this one is not suspended in an oil, but is more watery in texture. When rubbed onto dry skin, it’s quite gritty. It can be used on dry skin, but I prefer it on damp skin so it’s not too harsh. I love this for giving my elbows, feet and knees a good scrub. The pot is big so you don’t feel bad using it regularly. The price is pretty much the same as the ‘splurge’ product, but you do get more than double the amount of scrub. (Dh110)

& Other Stories Punk Bouquet Body Scrub
This newly opened store at The Dubai Mall is an H&M Group brand that is known more for its trendy and modern clothes and accessories. However, its beauty and bath range is definitely not to be slept on. Each scent they offer gets an entire bath line (body lotion, body wash, mist and more) and the Punk Bouquet fragrance was the one that most appealed to me. It’s a sweet but light floral scent that I want to smell like all the time. The sugar granules are suspended in a honey-like substance (there is no actual honey in it), and is very thick. Even though it doesn’t boast any luxury ingredients, the scrub will leave you feeling smooth and silky. (Dh47)
