Lipstick obsession is real, people! And I’m one of its victims. My dresser drawers runneth over with tubes of the stuff, but there are some shades that take pride of place as my absolute favourites; ones that I would recommend to everyone, regardless of skin tone, and would repurchase when they run out. Here are my top six lipsticks (at the moment):

Stila Stay All Day Lipstick in Beso: This was my first ever liquid lipstick purchase and as long as I have lips, I will keep buying this. It’s that va-va-voom shade of red that looks magical on any skin tone (especially darker ones).

Chanel Rouge Allure Lipstick in Palpitante: Even better than the very wearable raspberry red shade of this lipstick, is the formula. You really do get your money’s worth with this luxury item; the colour wears for a long time and feels very creamy and soft.

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lipstick in More Better: This liquid lipstick is on the cheaper end of the spectrum, and may not have the best formula, but the colour is unmatchable. It’s a deep berry shade that is also bright and fun to wear at the same time.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick in Ole Flamingo: Speaking of fun to wear, this shade is a party in a lipstick tube. One of the better liquid lipstick formulas, this shade is an eye-catching pink that will instantly boost your mood.

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lipstick in Tulle: When I’m not sure what lipstick to wear, this is the one I reach for the most. It’s a dark, reddish nude shade and goes with any type of eye makeup. Definitely a handbag staple.

Nars Audacious Lipstick in Apoline: This rosy nude is also one that will go with any kind of eye makeup. The shade is very full coverage but is still light and comfortable to wear. For a ‘barely there’ look, I lightly dab on the lipstick and blend with my finger.
