1. Buy neon-coloured clothes and accessories… I’m too old, but something about flouro shades make me think I’m no older than 17.

2. Put off making important phone calls… it’s a bit of a phobia, so thank goodness for the advent of text and BBM.

3. Fall down steps… I know I have a depth perception problem, but I still check my phone messages while walking down staircases. Duh!

4. Always fall back on trusty ‘black top, jeans and boots’… I buy pretty outfits, I just never wear them.

5. Criticise myself… I know I should give myself some praise once in a while but for some reason criticism comes easy. I am my own worst enemy.

6. Eat spicy two-minute tom yum noodles for breakfast when feeling a little down and out… whatever, it works!

7. Have complete faith in the restorative powers of caffeine… I’m told too much of anything is not good but then I’m unable to resist the perkyou-up power of coffee.

8 Watch American Idol… Why is it that even after ten seasons of this talent show, cribbing over its ‘deteriorating quality’ and whining, ‘It’s the same old stuff,’ I’m still watching it?

9. Twist a certain bit of my hair continuously… Sore spots on my scalp, hairloss and constant bad hair days – and I still do it.

10. Enjoy watching Guy Ritchie movies with my daughter again and again… reciting lines of script and laughing out loud until you have tears rolling down your cheeks is such mindless fun.
