Dubai: An Arab woman received a pre-Christmas surprise when she received two boxes of a male sexual enhancement pill instead of the beauty products she had ordered online.

The 35-year-old single woman had ordered a vitamin supplement called Biotin and a bottle of Pure Emu Oil through a local distributor on November 27. But when the consignment was delivered to her on December 14, she was in for a shock. "As I was asleep at the time of delivery, my flatmate accepted the parcel and paid a bill of Dh688 to the courier company," she says.

"Instead of my beauty products, I was shocked to find two boxes of a male sexual enhancement called VigRX Plus, a pill which the seller's website describes as ‘the most famous male sexual enhancer' in the market that guarantees to ‘increase sexual pleasure'."

The woman later discovered that her flatmate had overpaid the courier company since her original bill was supposed to be Dh516, a figure that is Dh172 less than what she paid. "When I checked the box, I discovered there were two airway bills with two addresses on it, along with the boxes of the sexual enhancer. One was my address and the other belonged to a man in Sharjah," she says.

It took another two days for the order to be swapped and the beauty products delivered to the woman, along with her refund.

However, Z. Mohammad, an account handler at the courier company, says that while the issue has now been sorted, the buyer of the sexual enhancement pills has refused to accept delivery, saying that he had changed his mind about using them.
