The wedding of Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo, Lago Maggiore, Italy on August 1, 2015.

Last year, we had George and Amal Clooney’s Euro-glamour nuptials. This year, fashion and people watchers are swooning over the wedding of two scions of old-school European families: Pierre Casiraghi and Beatrice Borromeo, who tied the knot this past weekend in Italy.

Casiraghi, 7th in line of Monaco’s succession, the grandson of Grace Kelly and youngest son of Princess Caroline of Monaco, wed Borromeo, an Italian heiress and journalist, on July 25 in Monaco, before following it up with a two-day celebration in Italy last weekend.

The couple have known each other for seven years and began dating in May 2008.

Borromoe chose a bohemian pink Valentino dress the civil ceremony at Monaco’s Pink Palace — with the likes of Monaco’s Prince Albert and Princess Caroline, Andrea and Charlotte Casiraghi in attendance — which was followed by a reception with 500 guests celebrating the marriage in the palace gardens.

Then Casiraghi, 27, and Borromeo, 29, moved the party to her family’s private island for a religious ceremony.

She wore a custom quarter-sleeve ivory Giorgio Armani Privé gown, changing into an Armani silk tulle gown with shoulder trains for their white tie reception.
