If you were looking forward to watching Ahmad Ezz on the small screen this Ramadan, then unfortunately we have some bad news. The Egyptian actor's television project with production group CBC has been postponed to 2013.

"Unfortunately, the script has not been finalised, and Ramadan is approaching very quickly," Ezz said.

"I'd rather take my time on something than rush the script and then present something that might not be up to standard," he added.

However, fans will be able to get their Ezz fix next month, when his latest movie Helm Aziz releases in cinemas on April 11. Ezz stars alongside Sherif Mounir and Mai Kassab.

No love lost

Qamar has lost her court case against Jamal Marawan, after she failed to prove the existence of a secret marriage between them.

The Lebanese singer has filed a lawsuit against the Egyptian founder of Melody Production, claiming that she got pregnant with his child after the couple married in secret.

However, when the Egyptian court requested witnesses to support her statement in January, Qamar's lawyers were unable to bring anyone, resulting in the case being postponed. This month, the singer and her lawyer failed to appear at the hearing.

Qamar is now said to be in hiding with Arab media unable to reach her for comment.

Little wonders

This week marks the arrival of two celebrity babies.

Saudi Arabian singer Mohammad Abdo (pictured) has been blessed with a baby boy, Khalid. The child, who was born in a private hospital in France, is his first with his new wife, who is said to be French-Algerian. Abdo already has seven children from his first wife.

Meanwhile, Nabeel Shuail has expressed his joy at the arrival of his first daughter.

The Kuwaiti singer, who already has two sons, took to Twitter to tell his fans the happy news. However, at the time of going to print, Shuail was yet to decide on what to name his daughter.

"Me and my wife chose several names [for her], but I think we will wait for a week before making a final decision."
