If you’re hoping to see Rihanna in Abu Dhabi for less than Dh300, you may be out of luck. Tickets for her only UAE show on October 19, 2013, went on sale at noon on Thursday, and by 12.20pm, the early bird tickets, priced Dh250, were already unavailable. Organisers Flash Entertainment did not disclose the number of tickets available for the show at du Arena on Yas Island. Tickets in all other categories were still available at time of writing. General admission starts at Dh395, with the most expensive tickets, the Golden Circle Early Entry, topping out at Dh1,295. Tickets, which can only be bought online from Ticketmaster (some physical tickets are also onsale at Virgin Megastores), come with an additional fee which is as much as Dh70 per ticket for the Golden Circle passes.

Currently on the US leg of her tour, Rihanna was booed for turning up late at a concert in Boston, but the audience in New York cheered her on even though she didn’t start on time the following night.

Boston.com reported that fans at the TD Garden on Monday booed the singer for starting her concert at 10.30pm instead of her scheduled 9pm, and without opening act A$AP Rocky. Doors had opened at 7.30.

A representative for Rihanna didn’t respond to an email about the singer’s lateness.

On Tuesday, Rihanna hit the stage at 10.15pm to cheers at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, where A$AP Rocky also performed. She sang a number of her hits, including “We Found Love,” ‘’Diamonds” and “Umbrella.”
