The Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma-starrer Ladies vs Ricky Bahl made an average start. The romantic comedy, which got mixed reviews, has earned about Rs165 million (Dh11.28 million) in the opening weekend.
Made at a budget of Rs250 million, the film collected Rs47.4 million Friday, Rs55.9 million on Saturday and Rs62.1 million on Sunday.
A conman's story, the film sees Singh's character fooling three girls, played by Aditi Sharma, Dipannita Sharma and Parineeti Chopra. In the end, he finds his match in Sharma's character.
Ladies vs Ricky Bahl brought the Band Baaja Baaraat trio of Singh, Sharma and director Maneesh Sharma together, but they couldn't repeat the success story.
While some trade experts say the film opened well, others feel that the Singh-Sharma pairing has failed this time.
