HE was the original rock 'n' roll rebel and even at 68 Sir Mick Jagger made sure there was a touch of non-conformity at the wedding of his daughter Jade on Saturday.

Though the bride wore white and her groom chose a dapper suit for the occasion, the legendary Rolling Stones frontman eschewed tradition and turned out to give her away in eye-catching purple and pink pinstripes.

Looking on from the congregation were his two ex-wives Bianca Jagger and Jerry Hall, as well as his current girlfriend, model L'Wren Scott. Other guests included Kate Moss and designers Calvin Klein and Christian Louboutin.

Jewellery designer Jade, 40, married her DJ fiance Adrian Fillary at Aynhoe Park, a grand 17th Century Palladian house set in 250 acres near Banbury in Oxfordshire, UK.

Jade's mother Bianca chose to wear an austere black outfit teamed with a white hat and gloves despite the warm weather, and didn't look completely comfortable in it as she, Mick and the newlyweds posed for photographs.

Meanwhile Texan model Ms Hall mingled with guests at the champagne reception in an elegant lavender suit. She was accompanied by her boyfriend Warwick Hemsley and her daughter Lizzie, who was dressed in a Vivienne Westwood jacket.

Jade's daughters Assisi, 20, and Amba, 17, from her relationship with artist Piers Jackson, were bridesmaids while Moss's nine-year-old daughter Lila Grace was a flower girl.

A huge white marquee was erected in the gardens at the back of the hotel, where the reception was expected to continue into the early hours after a champagne wedding supper.

The three day-long celebration started on Friday with a pre-wedding party.

Jade, whose previous boyfriends include publishing heir Dan Macmillan and American music producer Pharrell Williams, has said in the past that marriage wasn't for her.

In one interview she said: 'I am too independent to be seen as some kind of married woman.'

Jade was creative director at luxury jewellers Garrard for five years until 2006. She now designs her own jewellery.
