Mary-Louise Parker is returning to Broadway this autumn in the quirky, romantic play Heisenberg.

Manhattan Theatre Club said on Tuesday it will transfer Simon Stephens’ lovely drama to its Samuel J. Friedman Theatre in September. The play made its world premiere last summer off-Broadway.

In Heisenberg, two strangers — a 33-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man — embark on an affair and find their lives change irrevocably. Parker will play opposite Denis Arndt. Mark Brokaw will again direct.

Parker won a Tony Award for her role in David Auburn’s Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning play Proof, and her other Broadway credits include Reckless, The Snow Geese and Hedda Gabler.
