Will Smith is back in Dubai, and he’s been making the most of it both at sea and in the sky.
The boisterous actor updated his Facebook on Saturday night with a photo of himself smiling at sea in the daytime with the Burj Al Arab in the background. He also uploaded a video of himself skydiving, appearing unafraid to take the plunge; Smith made a show of boxing the air with closed fists while free-falling.
“Yeah, yeah, yeah,” he mouths in the clip, moments before he takes the jump. “I’m ready.”
Before his Dubai trip, Smith visited Marrakech in Morocco and Cairo and Giza in Egypt. It’s unclear whether Smith is travelling alone or with friends or family. His wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, and his children, Jaden Smith, Willow Smith and Trey Smith have all been to the UAE in recent years.
In August last year, Smith made a trip to the city to promote his superhero flick, Suicide Squad. He spoke about marriage, critics and politics during a press conference and explained his desire to promote positive thinking when it came the Middle East.
“In terms of Islamophobia in America, for me, that’s why it’s important to show up. It’s like, I’m in Dubai. And I’m having fun. And I’m tweeting, and I’m showing pictures. Hey, doesn’t look like they hate me, does it? I think that the imagery of it is hugely important to me,” he said.
