17-day festival, which kicks off on September 25, will feature a number of anticipated movies

Steven Spielberg’s Cold War thriller with Tom Hanks, Bridge of Spies, will premiere at the 53rd New York Film Festival.
The Film Society of Lincoln Centre announced its slate for this year’s festival on Wednesday. Bridge of Spies adds to a line-up that already features the premieres of several anticipated autumn movies: Robert Zemeckis’ The Walk, Danny Boyle’s Steve Jobs and Don Cheadle’s Miles Ahead.
The 17-day festival, which kicks off on September 25, will also include the debut of Laura Israel’s documentary of photographer Robert Frank, Don’t Blink: Robert Frank.
The rest of the selection features films making earlier festival stops, including Michael Moore’s Where to Invade Next, Todd Haynes’ ’50s lesbian drama Carol, Rebecca Miller’s romantic comedy Maggie’s Plan and Michel Gondry’s comedy Microbe & Gasoline.
