Hollywood socialite Paris Hilton is the latest victim of ruthless Egyptian prank show Ramez Wakel Elgaw. A screaming and crying Hilton was flown around Dubai on a small, turbulent airplane and believed that it would crash.

“What is happening?” she sobbed. “I don’t want to jump!”

The controversial series, hosted by comedian-actor Ramez Jamal, has been a staple of Ramadan programming since 2011. Jalal’s known for making celebrities feel close to danger and death, antagonising them throughout each episode. While the show typically targets big names in Arabic cinema and TV, Hilton was a rare exception.

At the beginning of her episode, she’s seen giving an interview at a hotel opening in Dubai. Later, she’s invited for a 15-minute plane ride over the city.

Post-prank, Hilton tearfully admitted: “That’s been my biggest fear my whole life, dying in a plane, because I fly almost every day of my life.”

For the duration of the prank, the 34-year-old was inconsolable. The airplane swayed from one side to another, dipping closer and closer towards a body of water.

Immediately after landing, Hilton asked after one of the actors who had jumped out of the airplane mid-air, concerned about his safety.

Comparing it to Ashton Kutcher’s popular prank show Punk’d, Hilton said, “Dude, this is taking it to another level.”
