An illegal fireworks case against Flavor Flav has fizzled, and he won’t be prosecuted for a Fourth of July bash he held last year. An aide to Clark County District Attorney Steve Wolfson cited lack of evidence Monday, June 15, 2015, for the decision to drop the fireworks case against the 56-year-old entertainer whose legal name is William Jonathan Drayton Jr. (Photo by Danny Moloshok/Invision/AP, File) Image Credit: Danny Moloshok/Invision/AP

The Las Vegas Justice Court has scrapped a $7,000 (Dh25,700) bail bond on Flavor Flav after the reality star and rapper’s arrest May 21 on allegations that he was speeding, driving under the influence and possessed a small amount of marijuana.

The bond was removed Monday morning at a hearing attended by a legal representative for Flavor Flav. The performer’s legal name is William Drayton junior

Bonds can be scrapped if charges aren’t filed within 30 days. Drayton has not been charged yet.

An aide for District Attorney Steven Wolfson says the office is waiting for the results of blood tests.

Drayton was pulled over on a freeway on-ramp near McCarran International Airport for travelling 73mph in a 45mph zone, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

Drayton’s next court appearance is scheduled for July 22.
