The fifth edition of filmmaker Karan Johar’s popular chat show Koffee With Karan is set to return, and channel officials are pulling out all the stops to ensure it’s a “cracker” of a season.
“We are working hard to ensure that we live up to the hype and are confident that with the guest-list and all the new surprises planned, it’s going to be yet another cracker of a season,” a Star India spokesperson said in a statement.
The official said the fact that “viewers can’t get enough of” the show, is “pretty evident from all the excitement, buzz and conversations around the season even before we’ve officially announced it”.
In its past seasons, the show has boasted a stellar guest list that includes Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol, Rani Mukerji, Kareena Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Preity Zinta, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Gurinder Chadha, Farah Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor, Parineeti Chopra, Alia Bhatt and more.
Earlier, it was speculated that Pakistani actor Fawad Khan would be the first guest on the chat show. But Johar has asked all the eager fans to “wait for a formal announcement”.
The show will air on Star World and Star World HD.
