A knee injury has resulted in the postponement of Kesha’s Rainbow tour across Asia and Australia this spring.

The Praying singer underwent surgery on Tuesday, according to her publicist, with rehabilitation to begin “as soon as possible so she can hit the road this summer” on her joint North American tour with Macklemore.

Kesha fell on stage in Dubai on February 9 and tore a ligament in her knee, which has forced her to postpone the remaining March 11 and April tour dates in Australia, New Zealand, Taiwan and Japan, as well as cancel a performance at Australia’s Byron Bay Bluesfest.

“It’s my biggest joy in life to share my music with my fans all over the world, but I have to follow my doctors’ orders and undergo surgery so I can get ready to give it my all on my summer tour and beyond,” the Grammy-nominated singer said in a statement on Tuesday.

“Moving these dates is making me sick with sadness, but I tried to will this injury away and unfortunately it didn’t work. I love you all and I’ll work every single day, as hard as I can, to recover and get back on stage as soon as possible. I’m so sorry and sending love always.”

Her co-headlining tour with Macklemore, tabbed the Adventures of Kesha and Macklemore, is expected to kick off in Phoenix on June 6 and hit 30 markets in North America. She’s also expected to do several solo shows during the run.

The postponed Rainbow dates begin on March 25 in Brendale, Australia, and end on April 20 in Osaka, Japan. Rescheduled dates will be announced “in the near future” and ticket holders are encouraged to save their tickets and stand by for further information.

Rainbow is Kesha’s first solo tour since 2013. Her most recent road outing kicked off in Birmingham, Alabama, in September and was already delayed in part because of a series of allegations and civil actions between the artist and her onetime producer, Dr Luke.

The singer made a triumphant appearance during the Grammy Awards late last month to perform an all-star version of Praying, her lead single in the wake of litigation and an indictment of the years of abuse she alleges she suffered.
