American singer Akon says rapper Kanye West has fallen victim to the ‘Kardashian Curse’.
West, who is married to Kim Kardashian, was hospitalised earlier this week with exhaustion.
In a video on tmz.com, Akon said he “wouldn’t deny” that the star’s plight could have something to do with being married to one of the women in the family.
“It’s hard to comment on something like that. As much as the evidence may show you that that’s possible, you don’t want to discredit it as it may just be bad luck. I just want to investigate this further just for fun. It is something to think about though. I wouldn’t deny it but I wouldn’t promote it either. When you think about it, the evidence all points to it,” Akon said.
The idea of the Kardashian Curse stems from the trouble that men associated with women from the Kardashian family have gotten into.
Khloe’s ex-husband Lamar Odom collapsed and almost died at a Nevada brothel last year after a drug and alcohol binge. Last November, Kourtney’s former partner Scott Disick — with whom she children Mason, six, Penelope, four, and 23-month-old Reign with — spent a month in Cliffside Malibu rehab centre to get treatment for alcohol and substance abuse issues.
Akon added that he is now on the lookout to see if anything bad happens to Kylie Jenner’s boyfriend Tyga.
“If something mental happens with Tyga then we can say it’s safe to say as that’s three in a row,” he said.
