Jimmy Kimmel has denied any involvement in this week’s leaked Dennis Quaid rant video. The chat show host confirmed during last night’s Jimmy Kimmel Live that he wasn’t to blame.

The video, which shows Quaid losing his temper at an actor, was leaked on Reddit on Saturday and a commenter who claims to work for Kimmel said the video was a prank for the show. Kimmel denied this although understood why he might be a prime suspect. “I have to say, it’s disappointing — you play 50 pranks, and all of a sudden, people don’t trust you anymore,” he said. “I watched that video last night about 14 times... and when I woke up this morning, I was being blamed for it. There are two dozen articles online, thousands of comments suggesting that this is a prank video and I’m responsible for it.”

“Did anyone ever consider that Dennis was doing voiceover for a new cartoon?” he joked. He then used the audio from the video and spliced it with Daffy Duck. The video of Quaid, which has over 1.6 million views already, features the actor having a Christian Bale-esque rage at another unnamed actor (“I am acting here and this [expletive] wanders onto my set!”). There is still no response from Quaid himself.
