Bollywood actress Kajol seems to have it all sorted on the fashion front as she prepares for her red-carpet appearance at this year’s Vogue Beauty Awards in Mumbai on August 1.
The star, who is notorious for being picky about films and fashion, has enlisted the support of Dubai-based designer Ayesha Depala to create a red-carpet gown for her.
Unlike her previous red-carpet outings, Kajol has shrugged off Indian ensembles such as a sari or an anarkali and is tipped to opt for a gown-clad look.
“I am so excited to be dressing Kajol for the Vogue Awards. She is an Indian cinema icon, and one of the most brilliant actresses of our time,” said Depala in a statement.
The designer, who has dressed stars including Naomi Watts and Sonam Kapoor, specialises in bespoke gowns in blush tones and is a fixture on Dubai’s couture circuit.
“Kajol represents all that is great about modern Indian cinema,” Depala added.
