Director Sohan Roy sues actress Tulip Joshi

Director Sohan Roy said on Saturday he has filed a cheating case against actress Tulip Joshi for not completing the shooting for his film Dam 999 despite taking part of her remuneration amounting to Rs850,000 (Dh67,300).

"The actress asked for half of the payment before the film. Biz TV Network also paid her Rs150,000 as the instalment for the first schedule. The actress came and shot for two days and then just left. Tulip was asked to return the payment and settle the matter, but we haven't heard from her," said a press release, issued from the office of Roy, along with a copy of the FIR that has been registered at the Kalamassery Police Station.

Dam 999, a tribute to the victims of the 1975 Banqiao dam disaster in China, is getting closer to release as its shooting has been completed. It will be released in both English and Malayalam.
