Early last year, TV actress Yasra Rizvi was trolled fiercely on social media when she married a man much younger than her. The strong-willed lady that she has often portrayed on screen, Rizvi stood up and faced it all with grace and confidence. It might be because of her persona — both on and off screen — that she has now landed the titular role of Ustaani Jee (Hello Teacher), Hum TV’s latest drama series that deals with social and domestic issues.
Reportedly, each episode of the series shall take up one issue and look at it through the eyes of the central character.
Directed by Angeline Malik, the series has a couple of other core characters as well. The first episode shows how a young girl named Salma leaves her family to be with her lover, only to be caught by the police.
Later, the man dumps her, and she is left to fend for herself, which is when Ustaani Jee comes to her rescue.
