Tamil film Taramani is a film with great expectations.
Helmed by National Award-winning director Ram, the trailer gives a peek into what’s in store for viewers. It clearly reflects love and relationships in today’s world and of the young. Actress Andrea, who plays the lead role, is seen as a bold and independent contemporary woman. Vasanth Ravi is paired opposite her.
Ram says: “I live in an apartment and Taramani is inspired and is the interpretation of the things I see in and around my apartment... the prevailing culture among the youngsters and their mindset about life and relationship.”
He adds that owing to globalisation there is more freedom for today’s Tamil women.
“Because of that our men are caught between a modern and conservative mindset in understanding their partner,” he said.
However, Taramani is not just about IT professionals. It is a multi-cultural, multi-layered and multi-dimensional story representing the life and mindset of today’s young men and women.
“Taramani will be a slice of every youngster’s life,” adds Ram.
Taramani, produced by JSK Film Corporation, releases in India on August 11.
